आईफोन 5

अक्टूबर में जब एपल ने अपनी सालाना कांफ्रेंस की थी तो आईफोन प्रेमियों को आईफोन5 लांच होने की पूरी उम्मीद थी लेकिन बाजार में आया आईफोन4एस। लेकिन अब यह लगभग तय है कि एपल इस साल आईफोन5 जरूर लांच करेगा। एपल से जुड़े सूत्रों के मुताबिक आईफोन5 4जी नेटवर्क को सपोर्ट करेगा और यह एलटीई नेटवर्क पर भी चल सकेगा।



आईपैड 3
2011 में गैजेट बाजार पर आईपैड2 का प्रभाव साफ दिखा। कम रेजोल्यूशन स्क्रीन के वाबजूद यह लोगों को खूब पसंद आया। माना जा रहा है कि एपल ने आईपैड2 की स्क्रीन में सुधार करते हुए आईपैड3 बना लिया है और यह साल 2012 की पहली तिमाही में ही बाजार में आ सकता है। माना जा रहा है कि आईपैड 3 में क्वाड कोर प्रोसेसर और बेहतर कैमरा होगा।



निन्टेंडो वाई यू
माना जा रहा है कि निन्टेंडो वाई यू भी साल 2012 में ही बाजार में दस्तक दे देगा। हालांकि इसकी कीमत के बारे में अभी कुछ नहीं कहा जा रहा है। मल्टी टच स्क्रीन के साथ ही इसके डिस्पले पर भी कई कंट्रोल होंगे। यह यूजर को टीवी बंद होने की स्थिति में गेम को दोबारा वहीं से चालू करने की सहूलत भी देगा। इसमें सभी वाई एक्सेसरीज भी चलेंगी।


सेमसंग गैलेक्सी एस3
सेमसंग गैलेक्सी एस2 साल 2011 का सबसे कामयाब स्मार्टफोन रहा है। माना जा रहा है कि इसकी कामयाबी को भुनाने के लिए सेमसंग जल्द ही बाजार में गैलेक्सी एस3 भी लाने जा रहा है। गैलक्सी एस3 क्वाड कोर प्रोसेसर वाला पहला स्मार्टफोन हो सकता है। यह भी माना जा रहा है कि इसकी स्क्रीन रेजोल्यूशन और डिस्पले भी पहले से बेहतर होगा।

एरिक श्मिद्त ने हाल ही में एक प्रैस कांफ्रेंस में घोषणा की है कि गूगल एक बेहतरीन टेबलेट का निर्माण कर रहा है। माना जा रहा है कि यह नेक्सस टेबलेट हो सकता है।

एपल की मैकबूक एयर सिरीज भी काफी कामयाब रही है और माना जा रहा है कि इसमें कुछ बदलाव करके साल 2012 में नई सीरीज भी लाई जा सकती है जिसमें 15 इंच की स्क्रीन हो सकती है।

नोकिया और माइक्रोसॉफ्ट को हाथ मिलाए हुए लगभग एक साल हो चुका है लेकिन बाजार में कम ही विंडो स्मार्टफोन आए हैं। साल 2012 में विंडो के कई स्मार्टफोन आने की उम्मीद हैं और माना जा रहा है कि नोकिया लूमिया 900 इनमें सबसे शानदार होगा जो विंडो फोन में 4जी एलटीई नेटवर्क की शुरुआत होगा।

Facebook plans to be a Blue Chip

Founder and CEO of the social-networking giant Facebook has spent the last 18 months methodically preparing to look and act more like a Blue Chip business.

"There was a period in Microsoft's evolution where they said, we want to put a computer on everyone's desk," said Zuckerberg in a recent interview.

"That's the way that I want to run Facebook...We want to be operating in a way that we're working towards this longer vision of where we think the world should be," he told the Wall Street Journal.

Facebook plans to file early next year with the Securities and Exchange Commission to take the stock public in the second quarter of 2012, according to a person familiar with the matter.

The IPO could raise as much as 10 billion dollars at a valuation of more than 100 billion dollars.

As hard as it is to reach a public offering, it is even more difficult for young businesses to play head-to-head against tech stalwarts such as Apple Inc. and Microsoft Corp.

But interviews with Zuckerberg and others inside Facebook reveal the eight-year-old company is trying to emulate the influence, staying power, and meticulousness of the biggest technology companies.

Since last year, Facebook executives have been crafting dummy scripts for quarterly earnings calls, addressing imaginary questions from analysts about the company's revenue and profit, people familiar with the matter say.

They have even written a top-secret draft of an IPO prospectus, a role traditionally left to bankers.

The company's chief financial officer, David Ebersman, has been professionally auditing Facebook's financial statements each quarter, say people familiar with the matter, and avoiding the accounting approaches that raised questions for Groupon and Zynga.

The company has both scale and a strong brand, says Lise Buyer, a Silicon Valley-based IPO consultant.

But the big question, says Buyer is whether Facebook has the ability to operate profitability through ups and downs.

"The missing piece that we haven't seen yet is reliability. The blue chip stocks are the ones that people talk about belonging in widows and orphans funds. Historically, technology IPOs don't make that list. Because of its scale, Facebook could be different," she said.

The company still has a long way to go to convince Madison Avenue advertisers.

China to allow commercial use of IPv6

China will allow commercial use of its next-generation internet system by 2015 after putting it on trial in 2013, a media report said Saturday.

The new system expands the capability of the Internet Protocol address and improves the speed of the internet. It is also expected to create employment, the Chinese cabinet said in a statement Friday.

The new technology, called IPv6 (Internet Protocol version 6), is an upgrade of the current IPv4 whose IP addresses are about to be all used up, People's Daily reported.

The new IPv6 technology opens up a pool of internet addresses that are a billion to trillion times larger than the total pool of IPv4 addresses and are virtually inexhaustible for the foreseeable future, experts said.

The IPv4 was developed in the early 1980s and has a capacity of just over 4 billion IP addresses.

The new IPv6 network bandwidth can reach 2.5-10 gigabytes per second, 100 times faster than the current speed.

The government will try out the system on a small scale by the end of 2013 before expanding it in 2014 and 2015.

China is the world's biggest internet market with about 500 million online users.

Chinese companies are also encouraged to develop new technologies on the new IPv6 network, such as cloud computing, Internet of Things -- uniquely identifiable objects (things) and their virtual representations in an Internet-like structure -- and Three Network Convergence -- an initiative that hopes to integrate telecommunications, TV and radio, and the internet in the world's most populous country.

Since 2004, the IPv6 networks have been built in some research organizations in Shanghai, Beijing and Guangzhou for testing. IANS

इंटेल : 2012 अल्ट्राबुक्स का

इंटेल ने 2012 के लिए टेक्नॉलजी ट्रेंड का अनुमान दिया है। इनमें सबसे अहम है लैपटॉप की नई जेनरेशन अल्ट्राबुक्स। इंटेल का कहना है कि अगले साल तक ज्यादातर लैपटॉप अल्ट्राबुक्स ही होंगे और 2013 तक ये पुरानी नोटबुक्स को पूरी तरह रिप्लेस कर देंगे। अल्ट्राबुक बेहद स्लिम और कम वजन के लैपटॉप होते हैं जो बैटरी कम खाते हैं और परफॉर्मेंस भी सुपर फास्ट होती है।

Mumbai students to get the Aakash tablet for Rs. 1,138

Mumbai college students will be soon given the Aakash tablet at a subsidised price of Rs. 1,138. It's notable that the market price of the ultra low-cost Aakash tablet is Rs. 2,500. According to a TOI report, the subsidised Aakash will be made available in 100 varsities including Mumbai University.
Rajpal Hande, director, board of college and university development, tells TOI that the department had issued circulars to all affiliated colleges and department in this regard and they have already given their requirements. Hande further says that the students might also be offered the upgraded version of the Aakash tablet a.k.a UbiSlate 7, which is scheduled to be launched in January.
The official further says that the Aakash will help students access online content for different courses. To get the Aakash tablet, students need to place an order with their respective colleges or the departments concerned. The tablet will allow both teachers and students in the university to access online content whenever they require.

The Aakash tablet was sold out in less than a week after it was released online. DataWind, the maker of the Aakash, has stressed on pre-booking of the UbiSlate 7, which is said to be the upgraded version of the Aakash tablet. The UbiSlate 7 comes with various improvements over the original Aakash tablet and costs just Rs. 499 more.

The Aakash tablet is still not available in the retail stores and DataWind has not yet provided any information on its availability. You may wait for another few weeks to lay hands on a better version of the Aakash tablet.
